Current members: $90 for 9 weeks ($10 per week)
- The format includes one hour kōrero sessions and topical workshops with fun activities on Thursday lunchtimes 12-1pm.
- A safe learning environment is guaranteed where learners are encouraged to give it a go, make mistakes, and ask pātai.
- This hub is designed for learners who have completed basic te reo Māori course/s and want a safe space to move on to the next stage- gaining confidence, adding vocabulary, sentence structure and kiwaha to their kete kōrerorero.
- To join the hub there is an initial membership fee of $30 and there will be 12 sessions to invest in at $10 each.
- Two workshops will also be included in this
Participants will:
- learn and practise saying different karakia
- learn and gain confidence in saying their pepeha
- be able to answer a range of questions with a variety of answers
- add to their kete of general knowledge, sentence structure and kiwaha to include in their conversations.
- appreciate different perspectives and network with fellow learners

I have had the privilege of facilitating Te Reo Māori and tikanga Māori programmes for over 20 years in school, community and museum education spaces. My approach to facilitation has evolved into thematic programmes integrating tikanga, te ao Māori and te reo Māori. It brings me great joy watching learners grow in their understanding, blossom in confidence and be challenged in their thinking. I am a strong believer in normalising te reo Māori and building communities of support for learners to move forward on their haerenga (journey).
